Prolite Short Girth

The Prolite® Performance Girth is manufactured under license from Fairfax Saddles Ltd's intellectual property rights, this design of girth is scientifically proven to dramatically increase the horse's freedom of movement.

The high tech fabric covering used has properties that keep it cool, dry and breathable. It is also antibacterial and hypoallergenic.

Designed, tested and scientifically proven using pressure mapping and gait analysis short girth (see fitting information here) is suitable for use with dressage and monoflap jump saddles.

NOTE: The narrow gauge short girth is suitable for horses with a forward girth groove, particularly wrinkly elbows or a narrow ribcage.

It is uniquely contoured to avoid the sensitive area behind the elbow. Strategically placed cushioning allows the front edge of the girth to "to float" and allow the horse's muscles to move underneath it, rather than being blocked by it. The patented combination of the contour and the cushioning creates a "buffer zone" which prevents a "hard" edge and allows the horse greater freedom of movement.
